Frank Anthony Fuccello

FRANK ANTHONY FUCCELLO, 91, of Austin, TX, passed away on Saturday, June 1st, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 10th, 1922 to Francesco and Catherine Greco Fuccello in Brooklyn, NY.

After attending DePaul University, Frank served in the United States Army during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. Frank then began a 50 year career in the ladies fashion industry in New York. After several years he made Austin his home, working for Marie Antoinette and finishing his career with 22 years as Vice President of Leon’s Fashions.

After retiring Frank remained in Austin with his wife and family. Outside of work he loved sports, following baseball and golf with a passion. He was also an active member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. Throughout his life Frank loved sharing his wisdom and life experiences with others. He could normally be found as a frequent patron at any public golf course or at numerous diners around town chatting with his many friends.

Frank dedicated his life to building strong family values based on faith and a belief of caring for others. He will be greatly missed.

Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mildred; his children and their spouses Stephen David, Donna Marie, Frank Anthony and wife Kimber, Peter Michael and wife Karen, Agnes Ann and husband Ronnie, John Charles; his grandchildren Angela and husband John, Chad, Brandi and husband Ray, Patrick and wife Sarah, Olivia, Stephen Anthony, Alex, Savanna, Gemma, Veronica, Ashlynn, Taylor and his great grandchildren Jasmine Rose, Alexis, Orly Jr, Zach, and Landis. He was preceded in death by his son Fred Paul.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 7th, 2013 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Cook- Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin, TX. Interment will immediately follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
