Federico C. "Freddy" Reyna

Federico C. "Freddy" Reyna Jr., age 72, of Austin, he was born on Tuesday, August 15, 1939 and on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 our beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather slipped out of our arms and in to the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a retired employee from the University of Texas. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Natalia Reyna; brother, Joe Reyna; daughter, Veronica Reyna; son, Daniel Reyna.

Freddy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esperanza T. Reyna; sons, Jimmy Reyna, Charles Rene Reyna, Jim Reyna of Austin, Anthony Reyna and wife Mercedes of Euless Texas; four grandsons; four great-grandchildren; sister, Lupe Rodriguez and husband Carlos of Austin.

Honoring Freddy and serving as pallbearers will be Gilbert Reyna, Phillip Chavez, James Alba, Miguel Rodriguez, Robert Benites, John Benites, and Gilbert Barba. Junior pallbearers will be Charles M Reyna, Jr., Zachary Reyna, Jay Reyna, and Javier

Reyna.

Special thanks to Dr. Edith Simmons and the caring staff at South Austin Hospital. You have guided us through this journey of life. Now we must walk on our own, knowing you have prepared us for this day. We will find our strength knowing that you are rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Tom Frank officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
