Fay was born on April 29, 1918, in Alvin, Texas. She was the daughter of George and Edith (Long) Cook. On November 24, 1937, she married Charles K. Seaman. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother George B. Cook of Houston, TX.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Fay is survived by three sons: Charles Seaman (Sue) of Webster, TX; George Seaman (Sarah) of Leander, TX; and Fred Seaman (Patricia Jackson) of Austin, TX. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, Rebecca (Craig), Christina (Wayne), Deborah (Gena), Christopher (Keri), Emily (Ken), George, and William. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren: Christopher, Mikalah, Katelyn, Emma, Nathan, Brooke, Matthew, Zoe, Ella, Kensley, and Fisher.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2011, at St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church, 5600 Ranch Road 620 North. Fay loved calling Lakeway her home for 45 years and helped found the Lakeway Tennis Association. Fay volunteered for many service organizations throughout her life and was an avid Texas A&M fan. She was a lifelong Episcopalian who loved her church.
In place of usual remembrances, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
