Evelyn Mueller

On the 15th of May 1945 in Austin, Evelyn married Dewey Frank Mueller. Dewey passed away on the 10th of November 1983.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Emily Hornberger; brother, Herbert Hornberger; and daughter, Janet Emily Farr.

Evelyn graduated from Austin High School in 1941 and attended Nixon Clay Business College. She was employed for 31 ½ years as a secretary for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synood District Office, retiring in January 1995.

She was an active member of Crestview Baptist Church in Austin and volunteered for North Central Caregivers and the Austin Baptist Association.

Surviving Evelyn is her son, David and wife, Judy; daughter, Julie Lackey and husband, Charles; her grandchildren, Keli Beck (David), Dillon and Kyla; Justin Mueller; Cody Farr(Tara), Callon and Bron, Jeremy Lackey(Chelsea), Pierceson and Palynn, Brianna Ferguson(Scott), Zack, Abby, and Tenley; son-in-law, Darrell Farr and sister-in-law, Peggy Hornberger as well as many other family and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Wednesday, the 14th of December from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, the 15th of December at eleven o’clock in the morning at Crestview Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Walnut Creek Baptist Cemetery.
