
Dear Aunt Mickey and Aisha,

We are saddened to learn of Uncle Eugene's passing away.  Please know that you are both in our hearts, thoughts and prayers!  May you both find comfort in the Word of God during this time of sadness (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).  We have many fond memories of your family and will never forget Uncle Eugene's wonderful sense of humor.  Please accept our sincere condolences.

yall never met me but i was good friends with E and i promise he will be missed greatly. remember the good times with him thats what i am going to do. i didnt know him long but i got to know him well in the last year. spent many many hours tlking to him.  as i said before i will miss him .

I worked with Eugene in the late 80s and 90s at Austin State School and then again in the late 90s at Austin State Hospital. Eugene never backed down from a good political argument and would shut down opposing views with a few well chosen words.  I'm glad I was on his side of the political spectrum....most of the time. Eugene served our country as a marine, but he also served our country as a voice in civil rights. Keep up the good fight Eugene. Woody
