Elizabeth Floeter Way Waterman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at her home on Monday, September 8, 2003. She was 87. She was born in Houston, Texas, on November 10, 1915 to Elliott Floeter and Ruby Cardiff Floeter. She was a longtime resident of Houston and Lakeway, Texas. A graduate of what is now Rice University, she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma at UT, a member of PEO, an active volunteer at the Bluebird Shop in Houston, and a member of the Lakeway Stitchery Club. She was an avid gardener and gracious hostess. Mrs. Waterman was preceded in death by her first husband William Jackson Way, Jr., co-founder of Way Engineering Company. She is survived by her loving husband, Milton H. Mike Waterman of Lakeway; her daughters, Sally Horrigan of Houston, Susan Keiser and husband Charles of Horseshoe Bay, and Ann McDonough and husband Kevin of Garland; grandchildren, Kerry Ugarte and husband Serge, Kathy Fletcher and husband Christian, Erin Horrigan and fiancée Greg Savage, Molly McDonough, Mark McDonough, Katherine Quie and husband Bill, Libby Martin and husband Edouard; great-grandsons; William Quie, Grant Waterman Fletcher, William Keiser Fletcher, and Roman Charles Ugarte. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Katherine Floeter of Wimberley and Jane Brown of Lakeway; Robin Morgan, Elliott Floeter, and Judy Ford. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 11th, at Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lakeway Church, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center or Trees for Houston.
