Elizabeth "Nana" Kelly

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Kelly age 92 of Austin, TX passed away on March 17, 2015. Betty was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa on January 29, 1923, the eldest daughter of Carl A. and Mabel A. (Anderson) Holmquist. Betty lived all her youth in and around Emmetsberg, graduating from high school there. Betty married Arthur “Bud” Kelly, and after WWII the Kellys, with infant daughter, Carolyn, moved to Moline, IL in 1945. Barbara, the second daughter was born in 1946. Betty and Arthur moved from Rock Island to Laredo, TX in 1969 where they lived until Arthur retired from John Deere in 1976. Betty and Bud retired to Lago Vista and Betty lived there until her health required her to move in with her daughter. Betty was very active in her Church, St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake until her health failed.

Elizabeth “Betty” was predeceased by her parents, husband Arthur, her five brothers and one sister. She is survived by daughters Carolyn Schultz of Moline, IL. & Barbara Kelly of Austin. She is also survived by granddaughter Margaret, grandsons John and Robert, one great-granddaughter, five great-grandsons, and one great-great-grandson.

Rosary will be held at 9:00AM with Memorial Mass at 10:00AM on March 24, 2914 at St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 6100 Lohman Ford Rd, Lago Vista, TX 78645.
