Elizabeth Weichel Baird, 49, went to be with her Lord on November 20, 2007 leaving with us many memories of her thoughtful and generous spirit. She brought beauty into our lives that warmed our hearts and made us long to know the love of Christ. Desiring to reflect Gods majesty in even the finest details, she brought us a glimpse of His creativity and beauty. Elizabeth was born in Bradenton, Florida to John and Evalyn Weichel. She graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina with a degree in Interior Design. She married Jerry Baird of Fort Worth, Texas where her son Hudson was born and where she worked as a designer. In 1997, the Bairds moved to Austin, Texas. There she continued raising her son and devoted herself to church and ministries where her gifts reflected her passionate love for her savior Jesus Christ. As a faithful friend and caring mother, she leaves her son Hudson Baird, his father Jerry Baird, her father, John A. Weichel, her sister, Anne Fuller and her brother John A. Weichel, Jr. and a multitude of friends who will greatly miss her. There will be a visitation with the family on Friday, November 23, 2007 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11a.m., at The Smith Family Chapel at Riverbend Church, 4214 North Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, Texas 78746, (512) 327-3540.
