Elias Jesse Guajardo

Elias Jesse Guajardo passed away on December 1st, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 21st, 1925 in Pflugerville, Texas, he was preceded in death by his parents Jesus H. Guajardo and Francisca B. de Guajardo.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Amalia, sons H. Michael and Robert F. Guajardo, sisters Stella Rodriquez and Amalia Rios C.S.C., brother-in-law Louis Cavazos, sister-in-law Eva Guajardo. He was loved by many nephews and nieces in Austin, San Antonio, Manor, and Modesto, CA.

Jesse honored his family and country by serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, with a Rosary beginning at seven o’clock on Wednesday, the 5st of December, 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Mass and celebration of his life will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 6th of December, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Rev. Charles Banks officiating and Deacon Mario Renteria assisting. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be represented by the family.

In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, the family suggests donations be made Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas 78702.
