Dorothy was born in Bessie, Oklahoma on the 23rd of July, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ina Ernst, of Cordell, Oklahoma and Grandson, Justin S. Jerome, of Exton, Pennsylvania.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 62 years Robert; her son, Michael Todd and his wife Darlene of Lago Vista, Texas; her daughter, Tammy Rene Jerome, of Exton, Pennsylvania and her husband, Steve; daughter, Tiffany Dawn Armstrong, and husband, John of Niceville Florida; granddaughters, Robin and Allison Jerome, of Exton, Pennsylvania; and her sister, Jolene Shinn, of Tuttle Oklahoma.
Dorothy graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, Oklahoma where she met her husband, Robert.
Dorothy’s professional career was primarily spent in banking where she worked for American Express in Zwiebrucken, Germany and the First National Bank of West Chester in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Dorothy was an active member of the Lions Club of Lago Vista Texas. She embraced the motto of the International Lions Club of “We Serve.” She took joy providing assistance to those within her community who found themselves in need and in helping make her community a better place to live.
She greatly enjoyed the years she and Bob spent traveling the United States in their RV. Often traveling with a group of close friends, enjoying their friendship and the wonderful sights found throughout the United States. Visiting all 48 contiguous States was a goal she was to realize during their years of travel.
Dorothy was an avid sports car enthusiast. She often drove her 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500 to car meets and shows around the Midwest. She placed first in class at numerous local and regional meets and was rewarded for her efforts with a First in Class National award from the Vintage Triumph Register in 1997 at Fort Worth, Texas.
