Dorothy Helen Kelly

Dorothy Helen Kelly, 95, left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was born July 13, 1928, in Madison County, Texas, to Louis M. and Mary Hunter McLain. She was preceded by her husband of 62 years, Howard D. Kelly, on February 11, 2009, and by one grandson and one great grandson. She is survived by her son, Dennis and wife, Kathy; son, Timothy; and daughter, Kathleen and husband Darrell Vrla. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Anita Blinka, and many nieces and nephews.

She raised her children in the church, taught Sunday School for many years, and was very active in the Women’s Missionary. She was loved by many, and she will be missed by all. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 17th, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, from 11am until 1pm, where her funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home with Ned Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, TX.
