Dorothy Dulany Dunlap Dorothy Dulany Dunlap (the former Mrs. M. L. Schoeneman), a long-time resident of Austin, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003. She had been living in Keene, Texas for the last three years. Mrs. Dunlap graduated with honors from the University of Illinois with a degree in Journalism. She was a member of the Illini Orange Jackets, an honorary society and was named in “Who’s Who Among American University Students” in both her junior and senior years. She was also selected for membership in Theta Sigma Phi, the national women’s journalistic honorary sorority. During her senior year at U of I, Mrs. Dunlap was selected by the Chicago Daily Tribune as the national coordinator for all student delegates to the National Women’s Congress which was sponsored by the Tribune. She also served as Women’s Editor of the Daily Illini, the only daily newspaper in Champaign, Urbana, Illinois at that time. After graduation, Dorothy entered the advertising business in Chicago, Ill. Later in life she worked in the professional employment and personnel management fields on an executive level. Dorothy and her husband, M.L. Schoeneman, who preceded her in death in 1973, moved to Austin in 1954. She served as the Texas District President of Delta Delta Delta sorority for several years. In 1979 Dorothy married and was since divorced to Robert L. Dunlap. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Cheryl Schoeneman of Mansfield, TX; her daughter and son-in-law Grace and Bill Moll of Thorndale, PA; her sister Mildred Dulany Miller of Springfield, IL; and her grandchildren Christina and Lauren Schoeneman, Teddy Moll, and Michael, Christopher, and Stefan Knight.
