Dorothy Nell Coleman, born in Austin, Texas, on September 30, 1938. Dorothy was a beacon of love, strength, and playfulness who dedicated her life to her family. Dorothy was the cherished daughter of Susie Jones and Freddie Houston. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Samuel Coleman, Sr., siblings: James Houston, Samuel Houston, Freddie Houston, Annie Mae Brown, Pearlie Bennet, and Kyrie Houston, as well as her children Kay Hill and Michael Coleman.
Her memory lives on through her surviving siblings, Susie Jones and Ella Bennet, and her children Joyce Houston, Shirley Davis, Robin Coleman, and Samuel Coleman, Jr. Dorothy's legacy is beautifully reflected in her 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom was touched by her nurturing spirit and vibrant personality. Her culinary talents, especially her renowned enchiladas, were a source of joy and comfort to all who had the pleasure of enjoying them. A woman of great strength and boundless love, Dorothy's playful nature and deep dedication to her family left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Her life was a testament to the power of family bonds and the joy of togetherness. Though she is no longer with us, Dorothy's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
