Dora is survived by her daughters Oralia Rodriguez (husband Lionicio), Pat Balderas (husband Gilbert); son Benny Jasso; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Mo (as her family affectionately called Dora) was born April 28, 1920 in Edna, Texas. She was the oldest child in her family of 11 brothers and 6 sisters. She fondly remembers cooking and washing clothes for her brothers and sisters when she was 9 or 10 years old.
Mo met her future husband Audelio Jasso (Po) when she was 14 years old in La Luisa, Texas. They were married on September 4, 1937 and had three children: Oralia, Benny and Pat. They also adopted their youngest daughter, Betty Ann.
Among her many memories are those of the few years that the family lived in Fort Collins, Colorado. The family owned and ran a restaurant for several years. The family returned to Texas in 1954 and settled in Austin. They slept the first night after arriving in Austin in their car. The following
morning, the Pastor from Primera Iglesia Bautista de Austin, Reverend Carlos Paredes, helped them to find their first house in the city. The family later joined Primera Iglesia Bautista de Austin where Mo remained a member until her death.
The Good Lord blessed Mo richly throughout her long life with a loving husband and family. She celebrated birthday number 101 on April 28, 2021 surrounded by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
