Donna Moore

Donna Kathleen Seitz Moore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021 of the Covid-19 virus. She was born on December 10,1934 in Springdale, AR., the oldest child of Donald Dinsmore Seitz and Kathleen Crumpacker Seitz.

Donna was a graduate of Sunset High School in Dallas, TX in 1952. After high school, her parents and her moved to Austin where Donna worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety as an Administrative Assistant. It was there that she met her lifelong love and husband, Joseph Leroy Moore. At work, Leroy would throw paper clips at Donna to catch her attention. They were married on August 20, 1954 at Northwest Baptist Church in Austin and honeymooned in Red River, New Mexico. Upon their return, they resided in north Austin. Donna & Leroy started their family in 1956 and had 3 children. They bought a house in South Austin in 1959. Donna returned to work as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Texas Power Plant and she retired March 31, 1992. Leroy and Donna moved to Manchaca, TX in 1993.

Donna is survived by her husband Joseph Leroy Moore, brother Dennis Ralph Seitz, daughter Kathy McClendon and husband Travis, son Robert Moore and wife Betty and daughter Sherry Jobe and husband Jay.

She had 8 grandchildren (in alphabetical order): Carlos Jobe, David McClendon, Jennifer Popov, Kenny Copelin, Marc McClendon, Michael Jobe, Nicole McElwain and Stephanie Fitzpatrick.

She also had 10 great-grandchildren (in alphabetical order): Aidan McClendon, Carina McClendon, Carter McClendon, Darby Fitzpatrick, Ella McClendon, Emma Fitzpatrick, Kate Fitzpatrick, Makayla Pierce, Micah Jobe and Trevor Jobe.

Donna treasured her family and bragged about them constantly. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Kathleen Seitz.
