surrounded by family. Dennis is survived by his wife, Dawn Faye Hall, daughter Carollin
and husband Blake Cavil, and son DJ and wife Bella Hall, who he dearly loved. He also had
a special love for his brother Homer and wife Becky Hall, along with his two nieces Kendle and Kelly.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Homer and mother Carmela.
Dennis grew up in south Austin after his father retired from the Air Force in 1968. He graduated from
Crockett HIgh School in Austin in 1976. Some of his fondest childhood memories were playing
baseball, fishing and playing at the creeks around his neighborhood. He also loved playing
softball and was on many Austin city league teams and had his own softball team, the River City Electric Shockers. He also had a great love for golfing, drawing and painting, which he was quite good at. He lived in Pflugerville for many years raising his 2 children with their mother, Stacey. He had many friends who he kept in touch with over the years. Dennis had a career as a Master Electrician and worked for many companies in the Austin area. He opened his own electrical company-River City Electric- in 1991. He then worked in the Travis County electrical department for 10 years. Upon retiring from Travis County he reopened River City Electric.
For the last 10 years Dennis loved and supported his best friend and wife, Dawn, who he had an incredibly special bond with. Their house on Lake Travis holds many special memories of times spent with
friends, family and neighbors. Dennis was loved very much and will be missed by all.
He will be remembered for his quirky remarks, MacGuyver-ing skills, his work ethic and his parental
support. He was at every school function and every softball, baseball and football game for both of
his children. Dennis coached Carollin and expanded her knowledge and their love of softball through
pitching. She now owns and operates her own business teaching softball pitching lessons. DJ received his Master Electrician license last year, followed his father's footsteps and has since taken over the family business, River City Electric. He worked alongside his dad for the remainder of Dennis' career.
