Debbie Kay Lehman Bell, age 47, beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend passed away on May 3, 2009 from complications related to cancer. Debbie was a loving and caring person. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Craig Bell, children Justin and Audrey, mother Evia Lehman of Rockne, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Lehman, mother-in-law Carol Jean Bell and father-in-law Hal H. Bell. Debbie was born and raised in Austin and lived her entire life in Austin, attended Saint Austin's Catholic Church School, Austin High School and Concordia Lutheran College, where she received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Elementary Education. For the past ten years she taught at Saint Matthews Episcopal Day School teaching the younger two-year olds. Debbie loved the challenge of starting these children on their learning adventure. She also loved the wonderful teachers and parents. The family would like to thank the Saint Matthews Episcopal Day School teachers and parents, Anderson High School Trojan Belles parents, Austin's Christopher House, and friends and family members for their kindness and prayers during her illness. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Arrington, John Charles Arrington, Craig Barnhart, David Barnhart, Russell Barnhart, Al Bauer, Bobby Bauer, Kenny Bauer, John Gallant, James Mayo, Danny Nolte and Steve Nolte. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Saint Theresa's Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin, phone (512)381-0081.
