David Romero, age 65, went home to our mother and Christ on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 5:30 AM. David was our mother's miracle child. At the age of eight he had his first aneurysm and the doctors gave him one year to live. David survived 57 years and he met them all with smiles, joy and happy times with his family.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Hello Romero; father, Anthony Romero; nephew, Wayne Porter; five uncles and two sets of grandparents.
He is survived by his uncle, Bernardo Romero; brothers, Tony Romero, Richard and wife Frances Romero, John Romero and James Romero; sisters, Frances and husband David Crowder, Debbie Romero and husband Edward Jones, Barbara Romero, Doreen Hello-Medlin and 72 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jason Romero, Richard Romero Jr., David Crowder Jr., John Anthony Crowder, Matthew Crowder, Blake Crowder, Jon-Michael Vasquez and Sean Romero.
Honorable Pallbearers are Donald Quinonez, Darrell McGuire, Edward Jones Jr., John Robert Romero, Mark Medlin and Antonio Romero.
A special thanks to Mark 1 Residential Service for the care of David. A big thanks to Sharon Winn and Jessica Stewart his givers for the excellent care.
If you asked David what he named Sharon he would say, "Sugar, because she's so sweet to me".
A visitation for David will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM; A rosary service from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM and a liturgy service at 5:00 PM at Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church, 1320 E 51 St., Austin, Texas 78723.
