David J. Allen, better known as DJ or "The Deej" passed away Thursday, October 28th. He was born in Billings, Montana in 1972 and grew up in Casper, Wyoming. He graduated from high school in 1990 in Wright, Wyoming. After graduating from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, he established residency in Austin.
DJ enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, all water sports and was an expert downhill skier (starting with winning a bronze medal at the age of 5). He also loved playing his drums, including bongos and conga drums.
He loved sharing life with all people and will be remembered for his unending sense of humor, loving ways and often living life on the edge.
The memorial service/celebration of life will be held Wednesday, November 3rd at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 3125N. Lamar (512) 452-8811. Public viewing will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and the service will be at 5:00 pm. Everyone is invited to share stories and wonderful memories after the service.
