He came into the world with the cards stacked against him in every way. He dealt with several medical complexities from birth that eventually took his smile from us. But through it all, he had the pure love and joy of Jesus. His smile was like no other- he could rarely smile with his eyes open because of his chunky cheeks.
He was adopted on March 20,2023 by the family that loved him from his infancy, so that he could spend his final days no longer as a foster child but as an official member of the Murken family. Daniel was loved by so many people that had never even met him.
Daniel's absolute favorite thing was to be with the people he loved. He loved to swing, rock in the recliner, go on walks, swim, be tickled, have someone sing to him. He loved when his sister would bounce him up and down making him belly laugh. He loved when his oldest brother would tickle him and kiss his sweet hands. He loved when his other brother would share his beanbag with him and snuggle him.
He had the most amazing village of people who cared for him and loved on him. His home health nurse became his second mommy the day she met him. His therapists spent countless sessions just holding him when he was dealing with constant seizures. His church, foster agency, attorney, and extended family supported him in unimaginable ways.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Amber and Andrew Murken; siblings, Tyler, Ryleigh, and Axxton Murken; grandparents, Bear and Kathy Bryant, and Mike and Joan Murken; nurse, Amber Steen and many other family members and friends.
