Dane Esther Fernandez-Soto was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, and at the age of 66, she moved to the United States to be reunited with her only son, Hugo, and his growing family. She had the joy of witnessing the birth of all five of her grandchildren and took immense pleasure in watching them grow. Whether at soccer games, music concerts, Christmas performances, or impromptu living room shows, she was always there with love and enthusiasm. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her closest family. “Te fijas, te fijas como e”.
A visitation for Dane will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd, Austin, TX 78749, followed by a funeral mass from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The burial will occur following the funeral mass, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, 6300 W William Cannon Dr Austin TX 78749.
