And for the pleasant morning light.
For rest and food and loving care
And all that makes the world so fair.
Help us to do the things we should do
To be to others kind and good.
In all we do, in all we say,
to serve thee better every day.

Cynthia Rae “Cindy” Nichols, 73, of Marble Falls, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012.
She is survived by her loving husband Joe Nichols.
We honor Cindy’s life by remembering ... her pride and love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were always greeted with a warm smile and a gentle hug. Her green thumb that could make any flower or plant thrive in her care. Her love and knowledge of all kinds of eclectic artists and music from blues to contemporary to classic rock.
Cindy was a great talent in the kitchen yet she refused to take too much credit for her skills, always insisting that her creations could have been better. She had a remarkable and long career at Motorola, those that had the opportunity to work for her all loved her. She was known as being fair and kind but also had a reputation for being a strong leader.
Her life growing up on a potato farm in Caribou Maine developed her strong sense of character and inner strength, as evidenced by the family that she raised and the friends that she had. This strength was also very evident in her valiant struggle with cancer. She was the epitome of grace and perseverance never allowing anyone to pity her.
We do not mourn Cindy’s passing but instead we celebrate her life as a shining example of humility, compassion and love. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park.
