

Cullen Milbern Farr went to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 11:50 P.M. The family commends Dr. Robert Bridges and the entire staff at St. David's Medical Center for their valiant two-week effort trying to save Cullen from a ruptured aortic aneurysm. A longtime resident of Buda and member of its First Baptist Church, Cullen, 95, was born on December 31, 1912. He leaves behind his wife of 73 years, Florence Dahlin Farr; their son, Dudley Farr and wife Shirley of Georgetown; grandson, Gary Farr of Austin; granddaughter, Gaye Lynn Williams and husband Randy; great-grandson, Justin Williams and wife Hope; great-great granddaughter, Hannah; great-granddaughter, Kristen Pierce and husband Brandon; great-granddaughter, Cara Williams all of Abilene; their daughter, Beverly Davis and husband Ray of Georgetown; grandson, Lt. Col. Derek Davis and wife Beth; great-granddaughters, Rebecca, Sarah and Emma Davis of Virginia; grandson, Chaplain Trent Davis and wife Lisa stationed in England; great-granddaughters, Hannah and Rachel Davis; great-grandson, Timothy Davis ; and many extended family and friends. Cullen was a man of integrity, whose word was truth, whose actions were love and whose handshake was commitment. He cherished life, family and friends and loved to talk of his childhood in Granger, his Coast Guard service in Corpus Christi during World War II, his work at Fort Clark in Brackettville, and, 20 wonderful years at the Texas Employment Commission. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge (Lodge 800, Buda). Cullen simply left a lasting impression wherever he went. Pallbearers are Gary Farr, Derek Davis, Trent Davis, Randy Williams, Justin Williams and Brandon Pierce. Honorary Pallbearers are John Henry Farr, Glenn Page, Terry Whitaker, Josh Whitaker, J. D. Beffort, Lanny Lawrence, Louis Hansen and Wesley Roach. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, February 15, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Buda, 104 S. San Marcos Street, Buda, Texas. Burial will follow at Kyle City Cemetery under the auspices of Masonic Lodge # 800 AF & AM.
