Cody Allen Dougherty

Cody Allen Dougherty, 26, returned to his Father in Heaven on Sunday, March 5, 2017 surrounded by family and friends following a valiantly fought battle with cancer. He was born August 2, 1990 in Austin, Texas.

Cody attended Palm Elementary, Parades Middle School, and graduated from Akins High School in 2008. He met his beautiful and amazing wife the summer preceding their senior year of high school. Their first son, Landon, soon followed. Their second son, Luke, was born in 2012. They were married in 2014. He loved his wife and boys dearly. He was their coach not only for their football and baseball teams, but in life.

Cody was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was always looking out for his family. The boys loved to play football together - anywhere they could. After years of watching the men cook BBQ at family gatherings, he took over the duties with pride.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica (Reyna) Dougherty; his sons, Landon and Luke; his parents, Roger and Patti Dougherty; his brothers, Michael Torrez and Little Roger and Justin Dougherty; huge extended family and numerous friends.

Visiting hours will be Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish at 2620 South Congress in Austin, TX

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at Fiskville Cemetery in Austin (1037 Fiskville Cemetery RD)
