On July 03, 2010, our beloved Clara Christine Council was called home. Christine was born November 28, 1932, in Cedar Valley, Texas. Christine moved early in life to Austin and made it her home. In 1956, Christine met her future husband Loyd and they wed in 1959. Christine worked for and retired from the Insurance Council of Texas.
Christine is survived by her Sister Myrtle Irene Rutter and her two daughters Deborah Pehl and Ruth Council, grandchildren Dylan Pehl, Travis Pehl, Mason Council-Salinas and Christina Council and two great grandchildren.
Christine is preceded in death by her Husband Loyd Blake Council JR in 2006 and parents Jasper and Cora Rutter.
Christine was a member of Kinney Avenue Baptist Church for the majority of her life. She recently moved in with her Daughter Deborah and joined McNeil Baptist Church near Luling, TX.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Kinney Ave. Baptist Church 1801 Kinney Ave. Austin, Texas 78704.
The funeral service will follow the visitation. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park in Austin, Texas.
