Charlene Cuthbert

Charlene grew up in Devine where she graduated valedictorian of her high school class. She went on to continue her education at Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a BA from Southern Methodist University.

After graduation she was married to Charles W Cuthbert and had two children, Laura and Mark. She later taught at the Jackie Naile School of Business and at Reagan High School in Austin Texas.

She loved training, showing and breeding her beloved boxer dogs. Her other passions were dancing and playing the piano.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Mark, sister Ora Lee Brown and niece Sheryl Cooper. She is survived by daughter Laura Cuthbert, cousins Peggy Fudge, Gay Maxey, Robert Bippert, Anna Lee McNeil, Patsy Wall, niece Denise Arvaneh and nephew Alan Brown. Also good friends Mary Molloy, Owen Proctor , Debbie McClure, Tara Griffin and many others. Also her beloved boxer Lizzie.

Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Charlene‘s life at a memorial service, 1 PM on Saturday June 24 at the Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704. Following the memorial service will be a graveside service at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, Texas 78731.
