Cecilia attended high school in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Biology Degree. Cecilia enlisted in the Police Academy, and upon completion she began her career with the Austin Police Department.
Commander Hart started her 28 year career with the Austin Police Department on February 26, 1975. On July 17, 1977, Commander Hart was appointed as a cadet and then commissioned as a police officer on March 24, 1978. Commander Hart was one of the first women police officers hired and worked in various assignments throughout her career to include the Sergeant of Recruiting, Lieutenant of Cadet Training, Commander for Traffic Division, and Baker Patrol Commander when she retired on December 31st 2005.
Cecilia enjoyed Quilting Bee's, Austin Area Quilt Guild, Match-A-Patch and Southern Belles.
She is survived by her daughter, Frankie Greenley, son-in-law Aarik Greenley and granddaughter, Remi. Her sister, Mary Scott, brother, Robert “Bob” Klevenhagen Jr. and wife, Maureen Klevenhagen. Sister-in-law, Jan Watkins and brother-in-law, Dan Hart and her many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, Robert and Roma Klevenhagen, husband, William "Bill" Hart and brother-in-law, Ray Scott Sr. preceded her in death.
There will be a visitation Monday, May 15, 2023 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral, 2620 S. Congress Ave. Austin, Texas 78704. A secondary visitation will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 also at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Live Oak Cemetery, 10739 Twin Creek Road, Manchaca, Texas 78652.
