Catherine Ann Bebee

Catherine (Yeargin) Bebee left this world peacefully from her earthly home in Austin to her eternal home in heaven on September 3, 2013 with gratitude in her heart for the faithfulness of God, surrounded by her loving husband, Eldon, and her precious family and friends. She courageously fought a long battle with cancer with great dignity and grace. She is survived by her husband, Eldon, her daughter, Dayle Bebee Aulds of Lago Vista; her daughter Carye Gillen and her husband Jim of Tyler, TX; her son, Don and wife Debbie of Liberty Hill, TX, and her son Bill and wife Linda of Austin, TX. She is also survived by seven beloved grandchildren, Blake and Drew Gillen, Shea Bebee Politte, Ryan Bebee, Cara Bebee Arnold, Kyle and Clay Bebee and all their spouses and 17 great-grandchildren. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Catherine was born in Austin, Texas on June 15, 1928 as the second of four daughters to Thomas and Stella Yeargin, and is survived by her loving sisters, Robbie Ballard and Meta (Tuggie) Torn and several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her sister, Rita Kramer.

As faithful followers of Christ, Catherine and Eldon met at church, and from that moment in time they became the love of each other's lives and would have celebrated 67 years of marriage on September 17th. They served one another, their family and others, building a heritage of faith in Christ.

Catherine had the unique gift of making every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-children think they were her favorite. She handstitched Christmas stockings for everyone in her family, and blessed each couple with handstitched tableclothes and pillow cases. She made hundreds of outfits for children in the River Ministry of Mexico. Proving that "a stitch in time saves nine", she sowed love into many other projects.

Catherine's life ministry was to express God's love in word and deed to countless children at the Baptist Community Center for more than 40 years. She also served faithfully on the board at the Texas Baptist Children's Home located in Round Rock, Texas. She was an active member at Hyde Park Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years, served in the Women's Missionary Union, actively partnered with her husband in the Prayer Ministry begun by her son, and served in countless other ministries.

Catherine leaves a legacy of faithfulness to Christ, her family, and the church, of what really matters - the glory of God.
