Colonel Carrol Frederic Jacobs October 11, 1923 June 30, 2004 Carrol F. (Jake) Jacobs, Colonel, USAF, retired, age 80, resident of Buda, Texas, since 1978, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, in Austin, Texas at St. Davids Hospital. Born to Clara Westmeir and Carl Jacobs (both deceased) in Poth, Texas. He was the oldest of six children and is survived by, Dolly Janicke, Clifford Jacobs, Cleola Yeglic, Clara B. Pilarczyk, Coretta Knauss. Colonel Jacobs received a BS in Physics and Math at St. Marys University in San Antonio, Texas, an MSEE at the Air Force Institute of Technology, and an MBA in Engineering Management at the University of Connecticut. Serving in World War II, Korea, and the Vietnam Wars, he retired as a Colonel in the Air Force after 32 years of service. After retirement, he worked for Houston Instruments in Austin until 1997. Beloved husband and father to Ann Foegelle, spouse of 54 years; his children: Suzette Jacobs, Dianne Barton, Jennifer Jacobs, Dwayne Jacobs, William Jacobs, and Rita Roberts. Son-in-law: Jim Barton, daughter-in-law: Kathleah Jacobs; grandchildren: Brandon, Hayley, Kyle, Michael, Christopher, Shalina, Anthony, Bryan, Zachary, Megan, and Braden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent for Alzheimers Research In Memory of Colonel C.F. Jacobs.
