Carol worked for Texas Instruments for fifteen years, Motorola for twenty years, and for the City of Austin in the Purchasing Office for fourteen years. She enjoyed gardening, Bingo, playing the Lotto, gambling, and crafts.
Carol is survived by her brother, Ronald Elbert Shelton, numerous friends, and her three dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Theresa “Betty” McLean Shelton and Robert Melvin “Bob” Shelton; and her brother, Donald Eugene Shelton.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2020, with a Funeral Service to be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 7, 2020, all services at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, at 6100 North Lamar. Interment to immediately follow the Funeral Service at Austin Memorial Park.
