Carlene Louise Alexander

Carlene was born November 17, 1949 to her mother, Adeline Radford and Louis Alexander. Her father passed away early in her life and she was raised by her step-father Dennis Radford, who loved her as his own daughter.

Carlene graduated from the Springfield Technical High School, Springfield, MA in 1967, and received an Associate of Arts and Science from Holyoke Community College in 1970. Carlene married Doug Edmonston in November 1979 and they had two beautiful children, Danielle and Alex Edmonston. Carlene loved her family and friends endlessly, always putting others before herself. She was an avid reader, enjoyed journalling, loved to ski, liked to shop, and enjoyed trying new restaurants. Carlene loved surprising people with gifts, and she was loyal to those she loved.

Being a woman of very strong faith, she was a member of St. Christopher’s Church in Austin. Carlene’s fondest memories of her youth were those spent at Seaside Heights and Otis Reservoir.

Carlene leaves behind her children, Danielle Edmonston and Alex Edmonston (Erica) and her three grandchildren, Olivia, Camden, and Amelia; her mother Adeline Radford, her sisters Lois Pare (Ronald) and Sharon Laro, brother Dennis Radford (Doreen); her treasured cats, Sparkle and Sunshine; and many beloved friends.

A service of Faith will be held at St. Christopher's Church in Austin, TX on November 21st at 10:00 am and a Memory of Life service will be held for Carlene on Saturday, December 10th at 10:00 am, at Hope United Methodist Church in Belchertown MA.
