Carl Ashworth Jr.

Carl Ashworth, Jr. passed away at the age of 70, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center from complications of diabetes. He was born on December 6, 1943 in DeQuincy, Louisiana to Josephine (Clark) and Carl Ashworth, Sr., both of which preceded him in death.

Carl was a very honorable, conscientious and dependable husband, father and grandfather. His family was his first priority and he provided well for them working at IBM for 30 years and then Foley’s for six years. Earlier in his life, he served his church as a Sunday school teacher and choir member.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Angelyn L. Ashworth; sons, C. Vincent Ashworth, and Trenton D. Ashworth and wife, Stacie; daughter, Devonne E. Koepp and husband, Jerry; his brother, Coiless Lee Ashworth and wife, Bettyanne; and by his grandchildren, Katie L. Ashworth, Jeremiah I. Ashworth, Elizabeth A. Ashworth, Zachary A. Koepp, and Alyssa G. Koepp.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
