Carcelle attended the University of Texas and became a beautician shortly thereafter.
She married the love of her life, George Boyett on June 4, 1954. She was lovingly devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years George Boyett, daughter Kimberly and husband Jimmy Ayers, son Brad Boyett and wife Susan, son Barry Boyett and wife Rhonda; and nine grandchildren; Andy, Stephen and Kathryn Ayers; and Danielle, Lauren, Blake, Amber, Megan, and Tommy Lee Boyett; plus four great grandchildren Braesyn, Kenna, Kallee and Brady.
Carcelle, Sissy, Spook, Mom, Mother and Nannaw are just some of the names she was called by her family and friends.
Carcelle will be remembered for her heart of gold. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her were deeply touched by her selfless nature and endearing character. She adored her family and friends and made sure they knew how much they were loved every day.
Even well into her illness, Carcelle would hold and stroke the hands of those near her as if they were the ones who need comforting.
Carcelle was only capable of love. As a child of God, Carcelle lived a faithful life with Jesus in her heart. Everything Carcelle did, she did with love. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres."
Carcelle will be missed greatly and will remain forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
The family would like to express special thanks to the following: Reanna James - her nurse for the past 5 years. Who took exceptional care of her and loved her like her own mom. Asia Tucker - who lived at their house working as a night nurse and taking good care of her. Amber Boyett - their granddaughter who took care of her grandmother and nurtured her with unconditional love over the past 6 months. She took her for walks and read to her. She sang with her, and they watched movies together every night. We saw a great improvement in her quality of life in the latter days of her life.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Austin Baptist Church. Dr. Gary Dyer and Dr. David Procter presiding over the funeral. After the graveside services the family would like to invite friends and family to their home for a celebration of Carcelle’s life.
