She is survived by her husband of 22 years, James; her son Edward, and parents Joe and Ramona Nance.
Candace graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She will be remembered by the many people whose lives she touched. She pioneered the Spicewood Elementary computer club, begun when her son Edward entered kindergarten. When Edward enrolled in sixth grade at Kirby Hall School, she again volunteered to teach computer science to grades four through twelve. Candace loved England. Candace and her husband James were married at the Episcopal Church in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, located in the midlands of England next to Candace’s family castle.
Memorial services celebrating Candace’s life will be officiated by Lucy Nazro, Head of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, assisted by Father Robert Leacock, and will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the St. Andrews Upper School Chapel, 5901 Southwest Parkway, Austin, Texas 78735.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials should be addressed to St. Andrews Episcopal School – Fine Arts Center.
