Camille Tracy

Effie Camille Tracy - Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many, Camille passed away at St. David's Hospital in Austin. She was born in Pleasanton, Texas the first child of Emeline and Ed Cook Lyons.

Camille received her Masters Degree in Education at the University of Texas and was an educator and Vice Principal for thirty five years in Austin. Camille was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, sang in many choirs and was a loyal member of her church. She was an actress, a painter and a lover of nature and of family. On August 4, 1944 she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Tracy, and they were happily married and inseparable until his death in 1988.

Camille is survived by her three daughters; Emily Haas, Margaret Hardgrave and Carolyn Ball, by her sister, Sally Melinda Kozoll and by her grandchildren Lukas, Amelia, Cody, Simon, Nikolai and Sarah and her great grandchildren Hannah, Austin, Zoey, Lynx, Ben and Alyssa. Her twinkling eyes and beautiful smile will be missed by all.

Her funeral service will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish South this Saturday at 2:00 in the afternoon.
