Camille Margaret McCarn of Austin, Texas passed away on March 2, 2016 at the age of 51 after a courageous battle with cancer. The name “Camille” is of French and Latin origins meaning one of unblemished character and there could not have been a more accurate description of her.
She was born February 19, 1965 to James Cecil McCarn Jr. and Margaret Augusta Zieschang McCarn in Austin, Texas. A lifelong resident of Austin, she graduated from the University of Texas in 1985. After graduating with a BBA in Accounting, she worked for the Texas Land Board and was a licensed CPA for more than 25 years. Although licensed as a CPA and just completing her continuing education requirements only two weeks ago, she had a passion for home renovations and real estate investing as well as stock investing. She loved the outdoors, spending time at her ranch near Hutto feeding the cattle and the family farm outside Taylor enjoying the serenity, peace and quiet.
Randall Sentesi whom she has known and loved since 1987 said she was his rock, partner and best friend, never complaining and always eager to complete a project they were working on. She loved animals, children, gardening and flowers (especially roses) and was always rescuing an abandoned cat that gave her as much joy as the love she gave them. As a child, she excelled at sports playing basketball and winning many awards in swimming. She was a loving and devoted daughter to her parents and loved her brothers, niece and nephew very much. She was a beautiful, unselfish, humble, kind and sweet girl that will be greatly missed by those who loved her. It’s hard to imagine how we will be able to go on.
She is survived by her mother Margaret McCarn, brothers Jim McCarn, Carl McCarn and Keith McCarn and his wife Laura and their children Mark and Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her father James Cecil “J.C.” McCarn Jr..
Visitation will be held Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3501 Red River Street, Austin, Texas on Saturday, March 5th at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park
