Beloved husband, father, and loyal friend to many passed away on the morning of January 16th 2024 at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Elizabeth, his children Arlen, Shauna, and Jamin, his brother Alan and sister Debbie, and his four grandchildren Liam, Ellis, Emily, and Ryan.
Brian’s early life was spent in the world of music, from his life at ShowCo working lights for big music acts, to singing, playing guitar, playing banjo, and later picking up the bass and grooving with his sons. His mind was an untapped never-ending jukebox of radio brain-noise and yet to be realized creations.
His mid and late years were marked with a deep continued draw to music and an ever increasing passion for technology. This passion instilled an intuition of technology into his children who took their fascination into their careers and personal lives.
Brian loved his children and wife deeply, and proof of love is apparent in the cohesion of the Peckham family in Austin. 41 years of loyalty to his wife, and his children’s homes and lives within a stones throw of his and his wife’s home. Even through the harsh trials of life we all stood by each other.
Brian was a spiritual man who followed the anthroposophical path alongside his wife. He loved sharing his joy of tradition and spirituality, especially the Christmas holiday traditions of advent, Micholmas, chorals, and he held dear the closeness to his family.
In addition to his music, he was an artistic man with talents ranging between typography, animation, computer graphics, and carpentry. His earlier years were spent lovingly teaching these crafts to Waldorf students, and when he departed from his teaching career, he continued to exercise his artistic sides.
On Saturday, January 27th, 2024, an evening of remembrance will begin at 4PM.
