Brian loved cars from the time he was one year old, working on cars with his dad. He also lived in Germany and San Antonio growing up. He spoke of Germany often. He absolutely was in love with its beauty and would reminisce of his little sister, his close friends and the good times he had living there. He moved back to Texas Junior year and he graduated from Copperas Cove High School, class of 1991.
He moved back to San Antonio as a young adult and started working for Outback Steakhouse. His passion for cooking was really developed while being the kitchen manager and he went on to work for the corporate office of Outback as a Food Technician (Inspector). He over saw several Outback kitchens in the region. While working for Outback, he met his wife Kristin and they married in 1996 and went on to have two daughters and four sons.
In 2003, his desire to be in the automotive industry led him to the Woodlands in Texas. He attended UTI in Spring, TX. where he completed the program in Collision Repair, and Paint and Body. He graduated at the top of his class. He and his family moved back to San Antonio where he started working in Boerne at a paint and body shop. In 2007, Copperas Cove called him back. His dad had just retired from the military and it was a good time to make a change. He and his wife raised their four boys in Copperas Cove. While the boys were younger, he volunteered as a football coach and he was the best teacher to these boys learning how to play football. He put his heart and soul into every practice and game.
He decided to go back to cooking in 2018 and worked at Lil Tex were he put his spirit of perfection into everything he did. He one day wanted to open his own restaurant. He had a huge hobby! He loved to barbeque and smoke meats. It was always something he did at home and his family would laugh because sometimes dinner wouldn't be till midnight. He loved good music of all kinds and having good conversation. He was a history buff and enjoyed reading and watching anything he could get his hands on. He loved the water and spoke of one day living on a lake or a river. He was the kind of guy that would have given his shirt off his back and his last dollar.
He was honest, pure, passionate. He was a simple man that always tried to do his best. He did things when people weren't watching that needed to be done without ever expecting anything in return. He was an awesome son, brother, nephew, uncle, father and grandfather. Brian adored his boys and each one of them had a special relationship with their dad. He was a best friend to all of them. He loved his two grandkids with all his heart and he was a fantastic Papa! Brian took his role as Papa and father in law very seriously and was over the moon to see his family expand. He will be missed by many.
