Bobby (B.L.) "Bob" Jackson Bobby (B.L.) "Bob" Jackson departed this life on June 19, 2008 in Austin, Texas. He was born July 8, 1926, in Fort Worth, Texas and was raised on Fort Worth's historic North Side. Like many youth in the depression era he helped supplement his family's income by delivering newspapers for the Fort Worth Star Telegram. One of Bob's favorite customers was Mama and Joe T. Garcia, founders of Joe T Garcia's Mexican Restaurant. For Bob, Joe T Garcia's held many memories including his first date with wife Helene, numerous family celebrations, anniversaries, college graduations and weddings. At the age of sixteen he started what would endeavor to be a forty year career with American Airlines. At the time of his retirement he was Director of Crew Schedule for American Airlines. Upon his retirement he moved to Granbury, Texas where he enjoyed ranching, cattle and the outdoors. Bob believed it was important to spend everyday in God's sunshine. He loved to hunt dove and quail and murmured jokingly if you hunted with anything larger than a 20 gauge shotgun you were hunting with a cannon. Bob and Helene enjoyed traveling abroad. Some of their more memorable trips included cruises to Alaska, Italy, and Russia to mention a few. Bob was a deacon and an elder of Oakhurst Presbyterian Church. He was very proud of the time he served as Scoutmaster for the Explorer Scout Post at Oakhurst. Upon relocating to Austin, Bob joined Hope Presbyterian Church. He was very interested in the development of a new Presbyterian Church in Leander, Texas: a mission of Hope Presbyterian Church. Bob loved his wife and family and supported his children in all of their endeavors. He was proud of their accomplishments and did not miss an opportunity to tell them and others. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Mollie and William Jackson and brother Frank Jackson. Survivors include his wife Helene, Children: Kay Frazier, Linda and Mike Regan, Frank and Suzanne Jackson, and William and Kim Jackson. He had many grandchildren and great-grand children and other family members and friends. Pallbearers are William Jackson, Frank Jackson, Mike Regan, John Frazier, Sean Gregory and Bud Willy.
