Bob was a man who loved God and others. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. Bob married the love of his life, Lydia Spencer on April 20, 1991 in Houston, Texas.
In 1991 Bob and his family moved to Austin where he began working for Freescale and after 17 years of dedicated service he began to work for ST Ericsson where he has been employed as Senior Unix Administrator for the past 2 years.
Bob was an active member of Bannockburn Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Bob also led Bible study for the High School boys, and was very involved with the church and the youth in many different facets. He also recently became a black belt in Kuk Sool Won, something he was very proud of.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dora Spencer.
Bob will be remembered as an adventurous man, loving husband and father and most importantly a Godly man, who demonstrated these exceptional qualities through his sincere actions and dedication to everyone who were blessed to know him.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lydia Craven; daughter, Cynthia Craven; son, Matthew Craven; parents, Robert “Wayne” and Sandra Craven; brother, David Craven and wife Marla, granddaughter, Jaecyn Ward; brother-in-law, Scott Spencer and wife Sally; father-in-law, R.G. Spencer; aunt, Suzanne Adams and husband Kenny and numerous other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Matthew Craven College Scholarship Fund. Donations may be made to Matthew Robert Craven Trust of 2011 for his college education and mailed to Bannockburn Baptist Church, 7100 Brodie Lane, Austin, Texas 78745 or made at any Chase Bank, locations nationwide.
