Beverly Jean Deal

In 77 years of life Beverly Jean Deal blazed a trail of love, laughter and passion for life. Throughout her voyage she left joy and warmth in the hearts of all who knew her. She was the most courageous, selfless and giving person you’ll ever know. She amassed a diverse and dedicated group of friends from all walks of life. Beverly was born in Phoenix, Arizona, the only child of Glen W. and Alene McCarter. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim J Deal. Her incredible spirit and strength continue to live in those survived by her. Children, son Glen Sartwelle of Houston, daughter Kathy Herring of Austin, son J Charles Deal of Lakeway, son-in-law Steve Herring, grandchildren Jessica, Meredith and Grant Herring, step-sister Diana Anderson of North Carolina and a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Beverly was tireless in her devotion to St David’s Next To New shop and charities of St David’s church. She enjoyed a beneficial career at Dell Computer of Austin where she made many life long friends. We will forever be blessed by God for sending her to lead us, guide us and encourage us. Her family came first and foremost in her life. She was always there to break our fall. She gave everything she could to provide her family and friends with a better life. She was our cheer leader, always on the sideline but never taking credit. She always urged us to follow our hearts, live life to the fullest, give to others and to never, never give up. She will forever be in our hearts as we celebrate her life with joy and deep gratitude. A Celebration of her Life is planned for Saturday October 14th 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at St David’s Episcopal Church, 304 E. 7th St, Austin, TX.
