Barbara M. Myers

Barbara Myers, age 67 of Kyle, was taken to be with her Lord and Savior on January 1, 2004. Raised in Amarillo, Barbara spent much of her life in the Austin area, where she loved to be with her family and her miniature horses. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lois Higgs, and her sister, Gail Garrison. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Myers of Kyle; her children, Sherry (Dan) Murphy of Victoria, Jackie (Sue) Mills of Austin, Frank (Cathy) Sughrue of Kyle, and John Garza of Navasota. “Nanou” was also survived by granddaughters, Shonna (Trace) Shelton of Buda, and Nicole (John) Bernero of Austin; her grandsons, Christopher Murphy and Clayton Sughrue; her great grandchildren, Robbie, Mayson, and Reilly Shelton. She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thompson and Pauline Knight of Oklahoma; her brother-in-law, Leon Myers of Oklahoma; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and other family members. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2004 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 3, 2004, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
