Barbara Clark was born on May 12, 1960, in Austin, Texas, to Matthew and Vera Clark. Raised in a loving and lively home as the fifth of eight siblings — Larry, Dianne, Dorothy, Sandra (Charles), Mark, Matthew Jr. (Nikki), Dorita (Brandle) — Barbara grew up surrounded by family, faith, and community.
From an early age, Barbara accepted Christ into her life, living her faith. She didn’t just speak about her love for Christ — she lived it every day through her kindness, her actions, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and love. She had a heart full of love for everyone she met, making sure that no one ever felt like a stranger around her. No matter what life brought her way, her trust in God remained strong and unwavering.
Barbara was blessed with three beautiful daughters: Shaneka Clark, Iesha Campbell, and LaTasha Clark. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, a great-grandmother, a mentor, and a hard worker who loved her family dearly. She loved her family deeply, enjoyed laughing, cheering on her favorite teams — especially the Dallas Cowboys — and never missed an opportunity to witness about the goodness of Jesus Christ.
Barbara graduated from Travis High School in Austin, TX, and later dedicated over 30 years of service to the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in November 2022. She took pride in her work and lived by the motto: "I work as to the Lord and not to man."
After retirement, she embraced the opportunity to travel, discover new restaurants, see her Cowboys play in person, and spend precious time with her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Vera Clark, and her brother, Larry Clark. She leaves behind her daughters, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, siblings, and countless family members and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and unwavering faith.
Barbara’s legacy is one of faith, love, and devotion — a true servant of Christ who never lost her faith and whose light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In All your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." — Proverbs 3:5-6
