Audrey was a very giving person who would often offer to help others and frequently took in animals that needed a loving home. She also freely gave those she loved most a hard time. Her great love for others even encompassed friends, who she would often invite them to her house. She gifted those who were blessed to know her with great love and fabulous memories to last a lifetime.
During Audrey's and Grants marriage they lived in Austin, Denver, CO and back to Texas in 2001 picking San Marcos as close to family. She so valued friends and regretted being separated from so many close fiends. In addition to close local friends she belonged to a group of 8 fellow Management retirees from all over the area who met about 12 times a year to provide mutual comfort.
Audrey was always busy with some project. Sometimes helping others and sometimes trying to break the world record for Yahtzee. Also she maintained an extensive collection of potted plants, fruit trees and a garden, she baked cookies to give away, while decorating for the current holiday. She was devoted to her pet dogs and cats and fed wild birds especially her favorite Red Cardinals.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Audrey to worldwildlife.org.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, January 11th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue.
