Arthur Wilner Hass Art, 81, went into the arms of his Savior on Friday, December 16, 2005. He was born on September 18, 1924 in Pope County, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Hass and Emma Snider; two brothers, Everett Hass, Jr. and Eddie Snider; and two sisters, Norma Judkins and Joan Looney. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie Marlene Hass; sons, Arthur Corkey Hass and wife Geri of Creedmoor and Harold Bubba Hass and wife Carole of Pflugerville; daughter, Debra Massey and husband Don of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Kevin Hass of Morgan, Texas, Stepheni, Allan and Christopher Hass of Pflugerville, Jennifer Massey of Las Vegas; step-grandchild, Allan Bud Boehnke of Creedmoor; and two great-grandchildren, Justin and Cheyanne Hass of Morgan. Art came from Arkansas to Conroe, Texas at the age of 15 with blue jeans and a shirt wrapped in a newspaper. After graduating Conroe High School, he joined the US Air Force and served during WWII in the Philippines. In 1946, at the age of 22, he moved to Austin where he met and married the love of his life, Marlene Howard. Art worked as a sheetmetal foreman and has been a member of the Sheetmetal Workers Local Union #67 for 57 years. Art was a 32nd degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge #12 of Texas. Art loved and adored his wife and family. He also loved his faithful Chihuahua, Prissy; she brought countless days of happiness to his life. Visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel officiated by Dr. Walter May. Interment will follow at Capital Memorial Park, Pflugerville. Pallbearers will be Allan Hass, Christopher Hass, Allan Bud Boehnke, Rod Marez, Lonnie Sumner and Randy Sumner.
