

Arthur Gene attended Austin ISD as well as Denver ISD. He later received his GED. Arthur Gene attended Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in his early years with his grandmother, Cora Lee Swain.
Arthur Gene loved almost every sport. He played kickball, softball, and football. He and Alfort were the first Midnight Basketball players at Huston-Tillotson University beginning in 1996 under Commissioner James Silas. Arthur Gene also had a passion for motorcycles which brought him to join the Bad Boyz and Bad Girlz Motorcycle Club under the leadership of Robert Charles Waters.
Arthur Gene was called home on April 17, 2022 at 7:19am surrounded by loved ones at the home of his Aunt Joyce who loved him dearly. He was blessed with a large and loving family and will be truly missed.
Arthur Gene was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Cora Lee Swain and Charelsy Hardeman; his grandpa’s, Henderson Collins Swain and Kara Hardeman; uncles, Kenneth Swain, Charles Swain, Glen Crawford, Kara Charles Hardeman and Thomas Hardeman; son, Zeauntray Hawkins; cousin, Dana Dupree Crawford; and nephew, Arthur Johnson.
Arthur Gene leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Sandra and father Arthur; children Ca’Tarius Hardeman, TaShanna Alexander, Keitrick Hardeman, SanYah Sykes and Avery Hardeman; grandchildren, Javon Taylor aka Three, Jiana Hardeman, Alana Middleton; sisters, Yolanda Lewis, Yolanda Hardeman; brothers, Terrance Marioneux, Carl Johnson aka Hi C, Alfort Lemuel Jr., Michael Hardeman, James Hardeman; aunts, Kathy Lewis, Joyce Swain, Betty Jo (Bob) Johnson; uncles, Dana Crawford, Ronald Crawford, Eugene Hardeman, Cranston (Linda) Hardeman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will also be fondly remembered by special friend, Candace Blaylark.
