Arlene Rose Taylor, 91, of Austin, formerly of Spring Valley, California went home to be with the Lord, December 5, 2008. She was strong in the Roman Catholic faith being a member of Altar Societies, Legion of Mary and other Catholic groups in various parishes throughout her entire life. Born September 13, 1917 at West Bend, Wisconsin, she was the youngest and only daughter of the late Frederick William and Theresa Rose Niedermeyer Klukas. She was a homemaker and had her own business raising parakeets commercially for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Lyle Taylor Sr.; one brother, Frederick Andrew Klukas; and daughter-in-law, Boniface Orpha "Bonnie" Taylor. Arlene is survived by her son, Charles L. Taylor Jr.; three grandsons, Charles L. Taylor III and wife, Anna of Lakeside, California, Michael R. Taylor of San Diego, California, and Paul J. Taylor of Houston, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Anne and Elliott Ashton Taylor; brother, Albert P. Klukas Sr. of Spring Valley, California; along with many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and adopted grandson, Christopher J. Taylor and wife Candice; and their children, Tanner and Taryn. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in her honor at St. Ignatius Martyr Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Interment will be at a later date at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, San Diego, California.
