She is survived by her children, Rayna Nethercott Beech (Albert), Angelina (Bunny) Nethercott Tipping (Bobby), Joshua Swain (Jeanine), Tisha Englert (Brynn), Susanna Harris (Lin); a brother, Raymond Ransom (Marian), and sister, Elizabeth (Tish) Williams; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 6 nieces and nephews.
Also survived by her partner, Francis Wilcox from Manchester, England, and her family abroad, David Wilcox, Peter Wilcox, Michael Wilcox and Alan Wilcox.
Born November 2, 1939, to Whitney & Ruth Ransom, she moved from Rochester, NY to Virginia and after only completing the 8th grade, she was able to start her career in the banking industry that she ended up retiring from as a Loan Officer in 1990. In 1997 she took a position with Lone Star Park in the money room (vault) as night manager.
After working since she was 16 years old, most of her experiences and opportunities came at the age of 66 when she started traveling the states in the U.S., and extended to bigger, more exciting places like Malta, Ireland, Hong Kong with daughter, backpacker for month across Europe with a granddaughter; skydived with son; got her one and only tattoo of a Phoenix on her shoulder; and attended Sturgis Bike Rally with a daughter just to name a few.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Ray Pond; daughter, Lisa Gidley; sisters, Katherine, Gladys, Margaret, and Julia; brother, Adelbert Ransom.
