Angelica Gregoria Garcia died on August 26, 2008 at age 77 after a valiant effort to overcome cancer. She was born in Mercedes, TX to parents, Angelica Trevino and Rafael Garcia. She was the 5th of 6 siblings. She was a wonderful mother and sister, engaging conversationalist, and avid reader. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa E. Garcia, son-in-law Joseph Burckle; grandchildren, Ruby Elizabeth and Benjamin of Silver Spring, MD; her brother and sister-in-law, Rafael and Beth Garcia of Madison, CT, brother and sister-in-law, Gabriel and Mary Ellen Garcia of Austin, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
