Angela was born in Lubbock, Texas on November 5, 1943 to Miriam Reed Baker and Everitt Evan Baker. She lived in Spur, Texas and Gary, Indiana before moving to Dallas, Texas where she was raised. She graduated from Adamson High School in 1962, and went on to attend Texas Tech University, where she cultivated her love of fine arts through the study of interior design.
Angela worked as an executive secretary for Schneider, Burnett & Hickman in Dallas, during which time she met the love of her life, Raymond Matthew Pavlic. They were married on November 22, 1975, and were married for 46 years. They built their first house in Plano, Texas, and in 1979 moved to Midland, Michigan, where Angela gave birth to their only child, Ashley. After a brief time in Rocky River, Ohio, the family moved to Houston, Texas in 1985 where they lived for almost 30 years. Upon hearing the news that their first grandchild was on the way, Angela and Ray moved to Austin, Texas in 2014.
Angela was a lover of the arts, frequenting the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, as well as Houston Symphony and Alley Theater performances. Watercolor painting and drawing were the art mediums most loved by Angela; she attended adult watercolor and drawing classes, and entered her work in art showings around Houston. She was well known by her friends and family for her excellent ability to cook; she participated in cooking clubs and classes, and enjoyed hosting frequent dinner parties and gatherings. Angela was a skilled seamstress; her interior design knowledge transferred into designing and creating home decor for friends and family, as well as creating countless Halloween costumes and clothing pieces for her daughter. She was an experienced world traveler, but as an avid reader, could just as easily be found at home with a Stephen King book.
Angela is survived by her husband, Raymond Pavlic of Austin, Texas; daughter, Ashley Pavlic Buster (James Paul), of Austin, Texas, and grandchildren Abigail, Lily and Evelyn Buster; and sister Sharron Suarez (Steve) of Edmond, Oklahoma. Angela is preceded in death by her parents, Miriam Reed Baker and Everitt Evan Baker.
